As the sun on the Cote d’Azur gets a little lazier, The Sundown Sisters & Brother Nzo have been working up quite a storm! Summer 2011 has seen the invention and celebration of our 1920`s flapper style along with our cheeky 1950`s summer gingham look. We’ve been entertaining at parties, weddings and events all over the Cote and there’s no sign of us slowing down as the autumn approaches.
Go and fetch your diaries because we have a one off, RARE public performance coming up for those local to ‘Chez Suki’ who first got a glimpse of us at her party at the end of 2010. We’ll be performing on Saturday 22nd October @ “Le Grand Chêne” near Sillans la cascade and it is simply NOT TO BE MISSED!

I’ll give you a clue, Brother Nzo is the give away (well he was on the rear view!) but luckily he is also a dab hand with a needle and thread!, no dramatic costume changes required!
The Sundowns go Flapper!
12 SepThis month ‘The Sundowns Sisters’ took a break from their classy black and red get up and made their debut Flapper outing! With a style and a repertoire ordered perfectly to fit the 1920`s/30`s, they Charleston-ed the night away to the sounds of the era with a good measure of retro classics, shaken and stirred up with a twist of modern pop and subtly blended with that vintage charm.

Its summertime for ‘The Sundown Sisters’!
21 JunSummer is finally upon us and so far this month The Sundown Sisters and brother Nzo have been busy entertaining the masses on The Cote D’Azur and it is all about being as grand as possible! Last week we headed over to beautiful Monaco to Monaco Beach for a Grace Kelly themed evening, followed by a quick stop at The Grand Hotel Beach in Cannes, to entertain the Microsoft troops.
And…we’ve been busy adding plenty of new tracks to our repertoire including some toe tappers such as Destinys Child’s ‘Independent Woman’ and that old Nina Simone classic, ‘My Baby Just Cares’. Not only that, but now Elizabeth Loveheart can be seen tooting the clarinet, Siobhon Fox has become partial to a bit of dramatic drumming and Arikka Baby has really found her calling in life on the cymbals! Which means, The Sundown Sisters are becoming more and more entertaining by the minute!

The Sundown Sisters @ The Cannes Film Festival 2011

The Sundown Sisters and Brother Nzo spent 3 nights during this years Cannes Film Festival entertaining stars, celebs and festival revellers alike at Cannes’ Hotel 314. Featuring new arrangements of songs from Gershwin to Beyonce, there were no foots left untapping! Sadly, sister Carey Secrett was unable to join in the fun this time but we’ll all be back together again soon for the next episode in the adventures of The Sundown Sisters! The Sundown Sisters Launch Party @ Sun7, Cannes
10 AprThe Sundown Sisters and Sundown Brother Nzo would like to thank everyone who attended the fantastic launch party event at Cannes legendary Sun7 this Thursday 7th April. The turnout was just amazing and the feedback from friends, colleagues and agents was incredibly positive.
